Spherics win Innovate UK Sustainability Innovation Fund to secure £225K
October 2020, Bristol UK. Spherics awarded £225K from Innovate UK’s Sustainability Innovation Fund to bring Spherics carbon accounting software MVP to market. The project will run from October 2020 to June 2021.
Innovate UK, as part of UK Research and Innovation, offered up £10 million to fund single and collaborative research and development projects as part of the Sustainable Innovation Fund.
The fund has supported companies focusing on Covid-19 recovery, Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion and Net Zero, with Spherics tackling Net Zero.
Founder George Sandilands on accepting the funding,
“It was a rigorous process, but given the results it has been well worth it. This financial support will help no end with regards to the continued development of the product. Watch this space!”
