Bristol, UK. September 2021. Former Compare the Market financial products Senior Engineer joins Spherics Carbon Accounting development team as Senior Developer. The move from Spherics signals intent to grow out the programming team responsible for building their award winning carbon accounting software.

Caroline’s Experience

Caroline joins Spherics having previously worked as a senior engineer in the open banking team at Compare the Market, a role where she developed their personal financial bill management proposition. Having previously been the first employee at FinTech startup Bean, Caroline was keen to rejoin the company’s founding team following its acquisition by Compare the Market.

In between these roles, Caroline was part of the original team brought together at Rehab Agency to build 'Learn with Facebook'; a series of online learning platforms for Facebook, launched in 4 countries and multiple languages.

In 2018 she stepped off dry land for 61 days, 8 hours and 47 minutes to pursue a dream of rowing across the Atlantic Ocean along with 2 other women. The row was the pinnacle of an 18 month campaign to raise awareness of the plastic pollution crisis and funds in support of the Marine Conservation Society.

Following her return to the UK, an opportunity to project manage a cycle/beach clean tour around the UK coastline presented itself. Having been awoken to the growing environmental crisis we face, the tour presented Caroline with the chance to engage with local communities, and aimed to inspire new audiences to act.

Caroline’s career has been diverse, moving from digital marking into engineering. She has spent many years working in startups, including joining Zoopla when it was only 3 years old, and at the start of its rapid and impressive journey to IPO.

"Climate change is the defining crisis of our time. It affects us all and we must all share the responsibility to act. Spherics seamlessly enables businesses to find their path to net-zero. I’m proud to be part of a team helping steer us towards a better future." Caroline Wilson - Senior Developer - Spherics

Caroline’s role at Spherics

As a Senior Engineer at Spherics, Caroline will be joining the engineering team responsible for developing the technology behind the Spherics platform, delivering industry leading solutions in line with the evolving needs of Spherics and their user base. Working in a fast-paced environment, staying agile whilst building complex and innovative solutions will be a key part of her role.

"Bringing Caroline into the team was a no-brainer, her experience developing open banking software coupled woth her clear passion for sustainability was impossible to over look. We bring Caroline in at a time where product development is at its most rapid, as we respond to the demands of our growing user base. I'm excited to report that even within a couple of weeks Caroline has hit the ground running! Exciting times ahead." George Sandilands - Founder & CEO - Spherics

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
