Bristol, UK. April 2022. Spherics hire new Senior Developer Paulina Stypinska to bolster the growing development team following a number of key new business wins. The hire comes just months after Caroline Wilson was drafted into the same business unit. Paulina will join the team responsible for building Spherics’ award winning carbon accounting software.
Paulina previously worked at an Education Tech company, CENTURY Tech, which she joined during its start up phase. She developed the core CENTURY proposition as well as creating a wider range of partner products, working with entities such as Pearson and the Belgian Government.
She is a big advocate for education being accessible to everyone, having taken part in a scheme, through CENTURY, to teach programming in schools as well as mentoring in codebar and various other meetups.
Paulina believes it’s the small changes that matter in implementing big plans - since 2017, she has made the choice to take a train to reach her family in Poland whenever she can, becoming part of a movement trying to minimise the amount of flights taken. Since then, she has switched to Interrail for most of her holidays and hasn’t looked back.
Paulina Stypinska on joining the Spherics team:
"It’s important to me to make a difference in the world. Spherics - a company that’s not only focused on improving our global future, but that also cares deeply about the present and its team - is a perfect fit. I’m delighted to be working alongside such brilliant people.”
As a Senior Engineer at Spherics, Paulina will be joining the engineering team responsible for developing the technology behind the Spherics platform. Her skills will provide significant value when delivering industry leading solutions, in line with the evolving needs of Spherics and their user base. Working in a fast-paced environment, staying agile whilst building complex and innovative solutions will be a key part of her role.
Marina Traversari, COO Spherics on Paulina joining the team:
"As we begin to really scale the Spherics proposition it’s clear we need very technically minded developers who also have real world experience to understand business activity. Paulina’s experience working with Governmental stakeholders to develop a product that is accessible to a broader audience was very applicable. In the short time that Paulina has been working with Spherics we have already seen this skill set manifest - Thanks for joining the team Paulina!”
